Her Next Chapter Co. is a place to write, reflect, express yourself and grow into the person you’re becoming. Through writing, learning, and shared experiences, we create spaces that encourage creativity, curiosity and connection - with others, and with yourself.
Because where we are now isn’t always where we thought we’d be. We grow, we change, and sometimes we find ourselves standing at the edge of something new. Some chapters feel steady and familiar, while others ask us to reflect, reimagine what’s possible and consider what might come next. Maybe you're navigating change, rebuilding after loss, pursuing a long-forgotten dream, or simply feeling the pull towards something more. Whatever brings you here, there comes a moment when you realise you're ready to turn the page.
Through writing circles, workshops, and live events, Her Next Chapter Co. brings people together to explore ideas, learn from one another, reconnect with their creativity and embrace what comes next.

Bonjour.
No, I’m not French - it’s a Steph-ism you’ll come to know about me.
I’m Steph, a writer, full-time working mum of two energetic boys, and co-founder of Her Next Chapter Co.
Like so many women, my life is full. Work, school runs, family, the mental load and the never-ending list of things that need doing. Somewhere amongst all of that, I’ve been trying to make room for something that is simply mine.
For me, that something is writing.
When I went looking for spaces to write and connect with others, I found they rarely fit around the realities of work and family life. It made me wonder: where are the spaces for women whose lives don’t neatly fit around the things they want for themselves?
That question sits at the heart of Her Next Chapter Co.
For more than two decades, I’ve worked across the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, exploring people, leadership, and personal development. Alongside that, my own experiences of healing, motherhood and personal growth have shaped what I write about: identity, relationships and the messy process of becoming more ourselves.
And apparently, the best way I’ve found to make sense of all of that is through plants. A lot of plants!
Because plants remind us that growth doesn’t always look like progress. Roots matter. Seasons change. We don’t have to bloom all year. And sometimes what looks like being stuck is actually becoming.
Her Next Chapter Co. is about creating more room for the woman underneath all the roles - the mum, wife, daughter, employee, organiser and strong one.
A place to reconnect with herself, explore her creativity, and consider what she wants her next chapter to look like.
Not because she’s finished everything on her to-do list.
But because she matters.

Hi, I’m Penny, a writer, mum, and the co-founder of Her Next Chapter Co.
I’ve spent most of my career working across science, business, and leadership, where I’ve led teams, built long lasting relationships and connected with people from all walks of life. Along the way, I’ve come to understand the value of genuine connection, of being seen, heard, and having the ability to create spaces where others can feel the same.
Like many of us, my life hasn’t followed a perfectly straight line, but I’ve always believed things have a way of unfolding as they’re meant to, even when we can’t see where it’s taking us. It’s been a journey of change, unexpected endings, new beginnings, and finding parts of myself I never knew were there - writing has been a constant I return to.
Over time, that writing found its way into fiction. I became drawn to taking the emotions, questions and lessons we collect through life and alchemising them into something entirely new. Different worlds, different characters and stories of their own.
My writing is centred around women’s fiction with touches of magical realism. Bringing together relationships, healing, identity and a little bit of magic. I’m drawn to stories about women finding their way back to themselves, and the idea that there might be a little more to our lives than what we can see in front of us.
My love of people and connection is a big part of what I bring to Her Next Chapter Co. A place for women to connect, create, and see what stories unfold along the way.
